Whipped Goat Cheese Appetizer

Ingredients

½ tbsp Morton & Bassett Ground Cinnamon

½ tbsp Morton & Bassett Rosemary

1 tsp Morton & Bassett Whole Black Peppercorns
4–6 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
8–10 dates, pitted and chopped
¼ cup chopped pecans
¼ cup chopped walnuts
¼ cup maple syrup
1 large log of goat cheese
3 tbsp olive oil
2 sprigs fresh rosemary
Bread or crackers for serving
Directions
In a pan over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until browned.
Drain out about ¾ of the bacon grease.
Add maple syrup, dates, ½ tbsp M&B Ground Cinnamon, ½ tbsp M&B Rosemary, 1 tsp M&B Whole Black Peppercorns, pecans, and walnuts. Cook until the mixture becomes thick and sticky.
In a blender or food processor, whip the goat cheese with olive oil until smooth and creamy.
Spread the whipped goat cheese onto a serving plate.
Spoon the warm bacon-date mixture over the top and garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs.
Serve with bread or crackers and enjoy!
