Strawberry Heart Cookies

Ingredients
- 2 cups freeze-dried strawberries
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature

1 teaspoon Morton & Bassett pure vanilla extract

1 teaspoon Morton & Bassett pure almond extract
- 4 oz white chocolate

Directions
- Blend 2 cups of freeze-dried strawberries into powder. Set aside about ¼ cup of powder.
- In a bowl, whisk the strawberry powder, flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter and cream cheese until smooth, then add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg, M&B vanilla extract, and M&B almond extract, and mix again.
- Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until combined and the dough is soft.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into shapes with a cookie cutter.
- Transfer heart cookies onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Arrange cookies 1-2 inches apart on sheets. Bake for 12-13 minutes, until edges are lightly browned.
- While cookies are baking, chop and melt your white chocolate. Option to mix in extra strawberry powder.
- Let cookies cool for about 5 minutes, then dip or drizzle with melted chocolate. Let set & dry.
