Ingredients
-
2 tsp Morton & Bassett Toasted Sesame Seeds
-
½ tbsp Morton & Bassett Ground Ginger
-
½ Morton & Bassett Garlic Powder
1 lb extra-firm tofu, drained
¼ cup peanuts
1 cup white rice (or rice of choice), uncooked
1 cup red cabbage, shredded
¼ cup green onion, chopped
1 tbsp soy sauce (plus more to taste)
¼ cup sesame oil
2 tbsp avocado oil
Directions
Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Set aside and keep warm.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, M&B Ground Ginger, and M&B Garlic Powder.
Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes and gently toss with the marinade until evenly coated. Let marinate for 1 hour.
Heat the avocado oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes in a single layer and cook, turning occasionally, until crispy and golden brown on all sides.
Remove the tofu from the pan and set aside.
Prepare the vegetables: thinly slice the red cabbage and chop the green onions.
To assemble, divide the rice between bowls. Drizzle with a little extra soy sauce if desired. Top with crispy tofu, shredded cabbage, and green onions.
Finish with peanuts and a sprinkle of M&B Toasted Sesame Seeds. Serve immediately and enjoy.
A perfect blending of texture and flavor.
