Ingredients
1 container nonfat Greek yogurt
4 Honeycrisp apples, diced
1½ cups sugar, divided
1 stick unsalted butter, divided
½ cup heavy cream
2 cups granola
-
1 tsp Morton & Bassett Ground Cinnamon
-
1 tsp Morton & Bassett Ground Nutmeg
Pinch of salt
Directions
In a medium pot over medium-low heat, melt ½ stick of butter.
Add the diced apples, ½ cup sugar, M&B Ground Cinnamon, and M&B Ground Nutmeg.
Stir occasionally and simmer for about 20 minutes, until the apples are soft and syrupy. Remove from heat and set aside.
In a clean saucepan over low heat, add 1 cup of sugar. Stir continuously as it melts — it will clump at first, then turn into a smooth, golden liquid. Once melted, add the remaining ½ stick of butter and stir until incorporated.
Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring, then remove from heat. Add a pinch of salt and let cool slightly to make the caramel sauce.
In four glasses or jars, layer yogurt, the warm cinnamon apples, and granola. Repeat layers until full, finishing with a spoonful of apples on top.
Drizzle with caramel sauce just before serving.
