Steak with Herb Compound Butter

Ingredients
1 16oz New York strip steak
1 stick salted butter (softened)

½ tbsp Morton & Bassett Garlic Powder

½ tbsp Morton & Basset Thyme

½ tbsp Morton & Bassett Chives

½ tbsp Morton & Bassett Parsley

1 ½ tbsp Morton& Bassett Fine Ground Black Pepper
½ tbsp salt
Directions
Let the steak come to room temp and pat it dry.
In a bowl, combine softened butter, M&B Garlic Powder, M&B Thyme, M&B Chives, M&B Parsley, and ½ tbsp M&B Fine Ground Black Pepper.
Season steak with 1 tbsp of M&B Fine Ground Black Pepper and ½ tbsp salt, rubbing in well.
Heat a skillet to medium-high heat and place the steak down, searing for 3 minutes per side until medium rare (125°).
Turn the heat off and add compound butter to the pan, letting it melt but not burn.
Baste steak on both sides with melted butter.
Pull off the heat and let rest for 10 minutes. Slice and serve!
