Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup white sugar

1 teaspoon Morton & Bassett Mint

½ teaspoon Morton & Bassett Lemon Peel
- crushed ice
- ½ lemon, for juice
- 2 ounces bourbon
- 2 fresh mint sprigs, for garnish
Directions
- In a small saucepan, add water, sugar, M&B Mint, and M&B Lemon Peel. Over medium-low heat, carefully stir mixture to create a lemon mint simple syrup. When all sugar is dissolved, let cool and strain with a fine mesh strainer or coffee filter.
- Add crushed ice into two small glasses. Squeeze lemon juice directly into the glasses, followed by 1 ounce of bourbon per glass. Pour ½ ounce of lemon mint simple syrup into each glass, stir, and garnish with fresh mint.
