Ingredients
- 3 pounds chicken breast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
-
2 teaspoons Morton & Bassett Rainbow Peppercorns with Allspice
-
1 tablespoon Morton & Bassett Chopped Garlic
-
1 tablespoon Morton & Bassett Thyme
-
1 tablespoon Morton & Bassett Ground Yellow Mustard
- 2 teaspoons salt
- ⅔ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400° F Season the chicken breasts with salt and freshly ground M&B Rainbow Peppercorns with Allspice.
Heat a large skillet with olive oil over medium high heat. Add chicken, cooking in batches if necessary, and cook for 3-5 minutes per side, until browned. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside on an oven-safe dish, leaving any browned bits in the skillet.
In the same skillet, add chicken broth, maple syrup, M&B Thyme, M&B Chopped Garlic, and M&B Ground Yellow Mustard. Bring the sauce to a soft boil, stirring frequently.
Add apple cider vinegar and whole grain mustard. Stir often and cook for 5-7 minutes, until the sauce has thickened. Pour sauce over chicken and set in the oven for 10-12 minutes. Chicken should reach an internal temperature of at least 165° F.
Right before serving, spoon sauce over chicken again.
